Born and raised in British Columbia, jewellery designer Karley Smith lives and creates in the beautiful Campbell Valley region of Langley, BC. Situated since 1997 on her family’s 5 acre Equestrian Centre, Karley and her team make each piece by hand and send her jewellery from coast to coast.

Natural materials, including semi precious stones, pearls, crystals, silver, and various types of wood, are carefully blended and contrasted to create endless hand beaded combinations including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and anklets.

Karley’s love for colour and nature is the heart of her creativity and her continuous study of the earth’s fine details is her teacher and guide.

“I have always been intrigued by the beauty and many facets of the natural world. The changing of the seasons, the contrasts of the sky, Earth and waters, and especially the colours fascinate me. There is a balance amidst the changing patterns in nature and a flow that I recognize as I create my own rainbows and waterfalls and sunsets after the ones that are now an impression in my spirit. People ask me how I manage to keep coming up with new designs {up to 200 per year} and I think that it is because every day I wake up and it is a new day with a new sky and new beauty to be discovered.”
