When you want to go big, this is the heart to do it with! Like a windy spring sky at Tofino (West Coast of Vancouver Island) this piece of glass is full of action! The surges and twists of blues range from indigo and cobalt to pale baby blue – all contained in a surrounding of clear glass. With the clear glass below it, it appears to float !
Each heart is one of a kind. They are hand formed by Sol and Gwen from clear molten glass mixed and layered with various combinations of coloured glass frits and stringers. Glass hearts make wonderful gifts. Whether they are used as paperweights, windowsill adornments, or a little “objet d’art”, the warm glow of a glass heart will always be appreciated.
Blue Tempest is about 3.75” X 3.75” (9.3 cm X 9.3 cm) and stands 1.75” (4.3 cm) in height; it weighs 13 oz (370 g).
