Turquoise Lace Glass Heart

Sometimes you find a piece of hand made art that you cannot help but pick up and you cannot help but turn over. This is one of those pieces. The front side looks very light and airy in shades of light blue – with an iridescent finish , giving it little hits of purple… But, pick it up and you have a totally different look with blacks and bright turquoise through clear glass….. (you could stare at this piece for hours and never get anything done!)
Each heart is one of a kind. They are hand formed by Sol and Gwen from clear molten glass mixed and layered with various combinations of coloured glass frits and stringers. Glass hearts make wonderful gifts. Whether they are used as paperweights, windowsill adornments, or a little “objet d’art”, the warm glow of a glass heart will always be appreciated.
Turquoise Lace is about 3.5” X 3.5” (8.7 cm X 8.7 cm) and stands 1.5” (3.7 cm) in height; it weighs 10 oz (280 g).
